Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design efforts for complete Gas Turbine engines and individual subsystems.
  • Develop and validate 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and design documentation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams:
  • Stress and Thermal Analysis for design feasibility and durability
  • Manufacturing Engineering for process compatibility
  • Material Science for optimal selection and application of advanced alloys/composites
  • Drive Design review gates for Product designs
  • Identify customer pain points and transform them to offload opportunities
  • Drive design-to-cost initiatives--analyze and assess component and system-level cost structures to ensure economic viability.
  • Guide design reviews and technical decision-making with clarity and precision.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
Key Competencies:
  • Design of hollow turbine blades, NGV, Analysis of Fir-Tree designs.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with global teams in Analysis, materials, and systems engineering to ensure design/repair feasibility and industrialization.
  • Understand the Intellectual Property Rights of the components. Should be able to appreciate and respect the patents of components, features, production process and geography. domain wise and geography
  • Able to do Stress Analysis, Thermal Analysis. Should be able to predict the Analysis results
  • Able to understand and interpret part drawing and manufacturing drawings. Able to understand and read Bill of Materials.
  • Prepares and delivers technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams.
  • Ensures thorough documentation and compliance with engineering policies, export control, and IP standards.
  • Promote open communication and knowledge-sharing across teams, supporting continuous improvement.
Work Experience
Qualification and Necessary Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in Gas Turbine design with hands-on exposure to full engine and component-level development.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or Creo.
  • Demonstrated experience working within integrated product teams.
  • Understanding of Manufacturability and Material application.
  • Cost modelling experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Demonstrates sound engineering judgment in solving moderately complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Stays current with advancements in gas turbine repair and engineering best practices.
  • Contributes as a subject matter expert and mentor within their discipline.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and build consensus across teams
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in leading digital twin, model-based design initiatives, MBSE.
  • Exposure to lifecycle engineering, including serviceability and sustainment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in the turbomachinery industry.
