Full-Time, Long-Term Supply (Maternity Cover), Immediate Start
Pay Rates: 168.80 - 261.78 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP (with full maternity cover from January 2026 - December 2026)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Supply
Connex Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a happy and welcoming secondary school located near the B16 area of Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with the successful candidate continuing from January to complete a full maternity cover for the academic year.
Role Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Assess, record, and report on students' progress in line with school and departmental policies.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment.
Contribute actively to the Computer Science department and whole-school initiatives.
Inspire students to develop their digital literacy, programming, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) - essential.
Experience teaching Computer Science or ICT at KS3 and KS4 level.
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
A genuine passion for technology and supporting students' progress and achievement.
