We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Computer Science Teacher to inspire students across various age and ability levels. This pivotal role involves leading the school's computer science program, ensuring students develop strong computational thinking skills and a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging technologies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an engaging, challenging, and balanced Computer Science curriculum (including coding, algorithms, data structures, and digital citizenship) for students from middle to high school.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for student support and enrichment.
  • Integrate technology effectively into other subject areas, promoting cross-curricular links.
  • Maintain and manage classroom technology and software, ensuring a functional and up-to-date learning environment.
  • Sponsor and lead extracurricular activities, such as a Robotics Club, Coding Club, or participation in tech competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide technology initiatives.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in Computer Science education and industry trends.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an inspiring educator who possesses a deep commitment to student success and a genuine enthusiasm for Computer Science.
  • A relevant degree (or advanced degree) in Computer Science, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Proven teaching experience in Computer Science at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and experience with relevant educational technology tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and inspire a love of learning in students.
