Pay: 160 - 240 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm | Full-Time

Position Overview:
Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth to recruit a passionate and skilled Computer Science Teacher. This exciting role begins in September 2025 and runs through to December, with strong potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, working within a collaborative and forward-thinking ICT & Computing department. The school welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), experienced teachers, and unqualified educators with relevant secondary Computer Science teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive Computer Science lessons tailored to a wide range of learning abilities
Teach topics such as programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and digital literacy
Assess and mark student work in accordance with school and national standards, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum development and ICT-related enrichment opportunities
Foster a classroom environment that supports high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement
Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular clubs, events, and parent evenings

What We're Looking For:
A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a closely related field (essential)
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (preferred)
A solid understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Computing curriculum
Passion for technology and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
Strong classroom management and clear communication skills
A commitment to inclusive education and continued professional growth
