The Role
We are looking for a Computer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. You will work on the development of
Glimpse Cortex
, our edge processing platform that is deployed at client sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building and refining ML training pipelines
Training and evaluating models
Working with Client Services to understand customer environments & needs
Enhancing tracking algorithms to maintain persistent IDs across camera views
Tackling complex detection challenges (e.g. crowds, occlusion, group behaviour)
Designing analytic algorithms (e.g. dwell time, engagement, footfall)
Optimising system performance to balance accuracy and speed
Developing internal tools for accuracy analysis
Skills and Experience
We are seeking candidates with experience in:
Developing end-to-end ML pipelines and integrating models into products
Computer vision methods: object detection, image classification, object tracking, template matching, image transformations
Using open source CV & ML tools (e.g. Ultralytics YOLOv8, PyTorch)
Imaging pipelines including use of GStreamer
Software engineering with Python, including OOP and parallel processing
Linux environments, containerisation (Docker/Podman), and Jupyter notebooks
Running experiments, analysing results, and measuring accuracy
Performance optimisation on hardware (e.g. FPS improvements)
Communicating technical findings clearly in written and spoken English
