Our support services are aimed at helping our customers develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to maintain a stable home and a structured lifestyle before assisting them in the process of securing or retaining permanent independent accommodation.

We are looking for

2 x

Night Concierge Officers

to join us supporting our temporary accommodation services at Huntley House in Bury.

Huntley House: This accommodation has 19 flats, and we will be supporting adults referred to the rough sleeper team at Bury Council, working closely with the navigators to provide temporary accommodation to those in need, until they move on to either private rented or social housing. This service will provide around the clock support, and the colleague cover will be managed on a rota.

Silver Street: This accommodation has 8 flats, and we will be supporting families who are referred to the rough sleeper team at Bury Council, working closely with the navigators to provide temporary accommodation to those in need, until they move on to either private rented or social housing. The support will be available between 9am & 5pm, with out of hours support being delivered from the concierge based at Huntley House.

The role will be part of a team providing 24/7 services to customers based on site.

The Night Concierge Officers will work on a shift basis, hours will be an average of 40.25 per week worked between 8 pm-8 am.

As part of the role you will:

Utilise CCTV to monitor the security and safety of SSP premises on an ongoing basis. Monitor the communal internal and external areas of the two schemes Make regular visual inspections of all internal and external communal areas of the supported housing projects. Assist customers in maintaining the security of their dwelling and communal areas, and to reduce or eliminate any noise or disturbance. Keep accurate logs and share information about events that have occurred in the night shift with the day workers. Perform light cleaning and assist in getting rooms ready for customer move-ins Occasionally sign up new customers in the evening, listen to customer concerns and treat all residents with respect
We would love to hear from you if you have:

Experience in working in any of the following fields: supported housing, housing advice work, youth and community work or work supporting homeless people. Experience in dealing with vulnerable people from possible problematic background. Experience in using computerised systems frequently, in a busy working environment. Ability to work with customers who have complex needs and who may be challenging to work with, and to respond to conflict situations in a calm yet firm manner. Versatile, flexible, and co-operative approach to work. Available to provide out of hours/overnight security, safety, and emergency services on a rota over seven days.
