Duties

Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV to observe activity across the premises Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security breaches or hazards Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies in accordance with established procedures Maintain detailed logs of incidents, patrols, and observations for reporting purposes Assist in first aid situations when necessary, providing basic medical assistance until professional help arrives Enforce access control protocols by verifying identification and managing visitor check-ins Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance, CCTV operation, or loss prevention is highly desirable Knowledge of security systems and alarm response procedures Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high-pressure situations Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail Good communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary Physically fit with the ability to patrol large areas on foot and respond swiftly when required
