Job Description

A desk-based role for an experienced engineer/technician to review service reports and make clear repair vs BER (Beyond Economic Repair) decisions. You'll use practical judgement to keep equipment moving, cut repeat visits, and document decisions in plain English. Engineers from any sector welcome - we'll train you on our equipment and process.

Key Responsibilities

Review engineer service reports (fault notes, photos, parts lists, call history). Decide: repair or BER (Beyond Economic Repair). Record a clear, sensible justification for each decision. Advise on next steps: parts, labour, swap-out, refurb, write-off. Work with engineers/ops to keep jobs moving and reduce repeat visits.

What we're looking for

Ex-field engineer/technician (any sector: manufacturing, HVAC, utilities, automotive, plant, facilities, white goods, etc.). You can read a report and spot what matters. You understand costs, downtime, safety, and risk - and can make a decision. You can write short, clear notes. Comfortable with Excel.

Desirable

Experience with asset lifecycle decisions Any exposure to compliance/safety standards.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
