Conference & Banqueting Manager

to lead our busy events department.

Mere Court Hotel is a beautifully restored Edwardian country house set in 7 acres of gardens and grounds, renowned for its charm, elegance, and service. Hosting everything from corporate meetings and private dining to weddings and large-scale banqueting events, we're a destination of choice for guests looking for something truly special.

The Role:

As Conference and Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth operation and flawless delivery of all events. You will lead a dedicated team, working closely with Sales, Kitchen, and Front of House to exceed guest expectations and maximise revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all conference, wedding, and banqueting events Be the main point of contact for clients on the day of the event Lead and develop your team, including training, and performance Work with the Head Chef to ensure food and beverage service standards are met Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire regulations and licensing laws Maintain stock control, ordering, and equipment upkeep for the department Support upselling opportunities and ensure profitability of each event

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a similar events, banqueting or F&B management role A passion for hospitality and high standards of guest service Strong organisational and communication skills Hands-on leader with the ability to motivate and lead a team Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required Knowledge of weddings and corporate events is a strong advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 34,000.00-35,000.00 per year
