The post is Based at Belfast Castle but the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Conference and Events Teams at both Belfast Castle and Crumlin Road Gaol. Both these buildings are a major part of our companies operation in North Belfast and are prestige and busy businesses.

Summary



We are seeking a dedicated Conference ad Events Manager to join our team at Belfast Castle and Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our conference services, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional experiences for our guests including a large number of VIP visitors and events.

Responsibilities



Oversee the planning and execution of conferences and events at across both sites. Manage a team of Conference and Event Supervisors across both sites. Liaise with separate in house kitchen teams on both sites to deliver functions. Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and ensure all requirements are met. Manage event logistics, including setup, catering, and audio visual needs. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers. Monitor event budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness. Provide excellent guest services throughout the event process. Collaborate with the marketing department to promote upcoming events and attract new clients. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events. Liaise with Belfast City Council and the Department of Infrastructure as landlord of the sites to provide monthly updates and reports.

Qualifications

Proven experience in event management or hospitality, preferably in a conference setting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Time management skills to meet deadlines effectively. Experience in guest services or client relations is highly desirable. Familiarity with fundraising activities is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
