Conference and Events Sales Executive
to join our team at The Heart of England Conference and Events Centre. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on building relationships, managing agents, and creating new opportunities through networking.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle telephone, face-to-face, e-mail, and online sales enquiries to company standards, ensuring all are processed and responded to in a timely and professional manner.
Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, as well as nurture and support relationships with agents, ensuring they are well looked after and fully engaged.
Actively network and attend events, both internally and externally, to promote the venue, build connections, and generate new business opportunities.
Assist the Sales team in delivering exceptional customer service to clients, consistently going above and beyond expectations.
Sustain rapport with key accounts by identifying specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
Consistently apply an up-selling approach to maximize profitability across the company.
Assist in identifying new business channels, monitoring competitor activity, and raising awareness of the venue to increase revenues.
Conduct professional site visits with both new and existing clients.
Create contracts and function sheets for all conferences and events, ensuring information is kept up to date.
Act as the main point of contact throughout the booking process, ensuring smooth communication and a seamless handover to the operations team.
Be responsible for chasing and securing payments prior to events.
Provide support to other areas of the business as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in conferences, events, and sales (hospitality background preferred).
Previous experience working with or managing agents is advantageous.
Confident telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong networking ability, with confidence in representing the business at industry events.
Skilled at using LinkedIn for business development, networking, and building client relationships.
Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and discipline in following processes.
Positive attitude, determination to succeed, and the ability to use initiative.
High level of IT proficiency, ideally with knowledge of Hubspot or Rezlynx.
Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented.
