Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

Kafka Engineer

with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

Apache Kafka

(any distribution) and a solid understanding of modern data streaming ecosystems deployed on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable

Kafka-based data streaming pipelines

. Manage Kafka clusters (open-source, Confluent, Cloudera, or AWS MSK). Implement

event-driven architectures

and ensure reliability, security, and high throughput. Integrate Kafka with various data sources, APIs, and microservices. Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering teams to automate CI/CD processes for streaming workloads. Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like

Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk

. Participate in architectural reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years

of hands-on experience with

Apache Kafka

(any distribution: Open Source, Confluent, Cloudera, AWS MSK, etc.). Strong proficiency in

Java, Python, or Scala

. Solid understanding of

event-driven architecture

and

data streaming patterns

. Experience deploying Kafka solutions on

AWS, GCP, or Azure

. Familiarity with

Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills (Preferred)

Experience with the

Confluent Kafka ecosystem

, including: Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, KSQL, Schema Registry, REST Proxy, and Control Center. Hands-on experience with

Confluent Cloud

services such as

ksqlDB Cloud

and

Apache Flink

. Familiarity with

Stream Governance

Data Lineage

Stream Catalog

Audit Logs

, and

RBAC

. Knowledge of

data mesh architectures

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 308.67-550.49 per day
