Connexions Personal Advisor
to provide expert
careers information, advice, and guidance
to support young people as they transition beyond post-16 education.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
Empower young people
by identifying their needs, abilities, and barriers to progression.
Provide tailored support
through effective partnership working, referrals, and signposting.
Work independently
in various settings, adapting flexibly to young people's needs.
Deliver engaging one-to-one guidance sessions
and group workshops.
Apply innovative approaches
when working with
NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people
.
Collaborate with partners
to ensure seamless support and progression opportunities.
Contribute as part of a team
delivering our
UKSPF programme
.
About You
We are seeking a committed professional with:
A qualification in working with young people
equivalent to NVQ Level 4
(such as Youth Work, Careers Guidance, Social Work, or Teaching) OR
relevant experience
in the field.
A
QCF Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development
(preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and partnership-building skills
to effectively support young people.
A
results-driven approach
, meeting service targets and deadlines with confidence.
Working Hours & Conditions
22.2 hours per week
, based around the usual business working week.
Some
rota-based work
may be required, depending on service needs.
