Are you highly motivated, physically fit and have high standards of work? Have a passion for countryside management or are an experienced labourer who would like to learn more about working in the environment? Willing to work outdoors throughout the year? Have a professional approach that will maintain the excellent relationship we have with our long-standing clients? If the answer is yes, then you could have the opportunity to undertake habitat management in some stunning locations and create habitats that will shape our countryside.
Working in the field of countryside management and wildlife protection, independently or as part of a team, you will be carrying out tasks including scrub clearance, pond management, woodland management, access improvements, grassland management and installation of wildlife fencing. Most our work is either on designated sites or dealing with protected species, so you will be expected to maintain accurate records of your work activity. We have a large 'Rights of Way' contract, therefore we welcome people with experience in joinery and the ability to work from a plan. This is a very practical/physical role, not to be mistaken for a junior ecologist role.
We are offering two levels of this role depending on experience and qualifications. The job description and person specs for both levels are available on the website, with a Level 1 salary being 25,400.00 and Level 2 being 26,400.00. Staff also receive an enhancement based on the practical tickets they hold, plus an annual bonus based on company profits. Salaries will be reviewed in April 2026.
