To safely and efficiently transport materials, tools, equipment, documents and personnel to and from construction sites, ensuring timely deliveries and supporting smooth site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles (vans, flatbeds, pickups, or small trucks)
Collect and deliver materials, tools, and fabricated items to construction sites and suppliers.
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring loads are secured correctly.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
Ensure compliance with all road safety, company, and legal requirements.
Support site teams with ad hoc tasks when required (e.g., moving materials on site).
Represent the company professionally when meeting clients, suppliers, and contractors.
Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times.
Required Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Full UK driving licence.
Experience driving commercial vehicles.
Ability to lift and handle materials safely.
Strong communication and time-management skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Desirable:
Experience in construction ( (not essential ) )
Qualifications:
Full UK driving licence (required).
Additional driver or plant training certificates (advantageous).
