Who are we?

Clear Span Building are at upcoming construction company specialising in aluminium structures, cold rolled steel structures and hot formed steel structures. We work all over the UK mainly in the film and industrial sector, and due to our continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced estimator to join our team on a permanent basis.

The position

Estimator role will be based on working from home or at our new office buildings in Bridgend, South Wales (currently under construction). Reporting to the directors you will be responsible for the estimating of all new works, reviewing drawings and specifications to produce detailed costs to develop and complete tenders, ensuring they are inline with the client requirements. Creating enquiry packages including scope of works and relevant information, managing sub-contractors to ensure prompt return of prices. Work closely with the quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure active projects are brought in on budget. There is opportunity to progress beyond estimator role as we grow the company further.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience as an estimator working in the UK (project value 1m - 10m)

Construction related degree. Preferred but not essential.

Expertise in producing take offs and bills of quantities.

Ability to analysis sub-contractor quotations to ensure tender compliance.

Strong communication skills with the ability to works as part of a team.

Understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.

Full UK driving licence.

Use of Microsoft office.
