We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalised academic support to students across various age groups and learning levels. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' educational journeys by fostering confidence and understanding in their subjects. The Tutor will work closely with learners to develop tailored learning plans, encourage engagement, and help achieve academic goals.
Responsibilities
Deliver customised tutoring sessions in designated subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Support students with exam preparation, and revision strategies
Assess student progress regularly and adjust lesson plans accordingly
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and curiosity
Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement
Develop engaging educational materials and resources to enhance learning experiences
Promote organisational skills among students to improve their overall academic performance
Requirements
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, but not mandatory as all training will be given (AET)
Experience in Construction, Trades, DIY etc
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
Passion for education and supporting student growth
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple sessions effectively
Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or subject-specific areas are advantageous
A positive attitude and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Additional Information
This job would be ideally suited to someone who has been working in construction but cannot continue due to injury or wants to move into education.
We often deliver in Prisons which would require a DBS (having a criminal record does not exclude you from the role subject to checks)
