Position: Construction Manager
Location: Stratford, East London
Project: 35-Storey PBSA Development
Salary: 90,000 - 100,000 per annum
About the Project:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take a lead role on a landmark high rise Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Stratford, London. This major high-rise development will deliver state-of-the-art student living, with premium amenities, sustainable design features, and a prime location just minutes from major transport links.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day construction operations across the full build lifecycle
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and logistics on a high-rise structure
Oversee construction quality, health & safety, and programme delivery
Work closely with the Project Director, design team, and stakeholders to drive timely and efficient progress
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
Support the commissioning and handover phases with a focus on quality assurance
Requirements:
Proven experience managing high-rise residential or PBSA projects (25+ storeys)
Strong understanding of reinforced concrete frame construction and complex urban logistics
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), First Aid certifications
Ability to manage programme, cost, and subcontractor performance effectively
Previous experience with Tier 1 or reputable Tier 2 contractors is highly desirable
