We're looking for a Construction Manager to join our team delivering HMP Glasgow a 750m new build campus 4 miles North East of Glasgow City

What will you be responsible for?





The Construction Manager to join our delivery team on the prestigious HMP Glasgow project. This role will focus on the houseblock elements - taking oversight of one of them, managing on site delivery of what will be a large 4 story building central to the secure accommodation of inmates .





Your day to day will include:


Lead the on-site delivery of one of the houseblocks (circa 40M) ensuring, safe delivery and alignment with project timelines and quality standards. Oversee and coordinate site staff and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Champion the DFMA approach, integrating off-site manufactured components into the build process to maximise efficiency and minimise disruption. Ensure compliance with Kier's SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and procedures. Collaborate closely with design, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of DFMA elements. Monitor and report to the Work Front lead on progress, budget, and quality issues should any arise Maintain strong relationships with client representatives, stakeholders, and local authorities. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the site team.



What are we looking for?




Relevant construction qualification - HNC/HND/Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certifications. Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale, complex projects, ideally within custodial or secure environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects to high standards. Full UK Driving License
