Structural Repair Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly capable Construction Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of our specialist structural repair projects across the UK. This role is based at our Windsor office with regular nationwide travel.
The Construction Manager will lead operational delivery, manage site teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain excellent client relationships. They will act as a key link between Estimating, Operations, SHEQ, Monitoring/Scanning and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Management
Plan, coordinate and oversee day-to-day project delivery across multiple live sites.
Review job sheets, scopes of work, drawings and RAMS before commencement.
Allocate labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors effectively.
Ensure all works are completed to specification, within budget and on programme.
Monitor progress daily and report any delays, risks or variations.
Quality & Technical Assurance
Ensure high-quality workmanship across all structural repair activities, including concrete repairs, crack stitching, resin injection, helical systems, waterproofing and ground stabilisation.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to site teams.
Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to CDM regulations and SRS safety procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
Lead incident reporting and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all on-site documentation is accurate, complete and compliant.
Team Leadership
Manage, motivate and support supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.
Promote a strong safety culture and professional behaviour on site.
Conduct performance review input and identify training needs.
Address performance or conduct issues promptly.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary site contact for clients, engineers and third-party stakeholders.
Provide clear updates on progress, risks and solutions.
Maintain excellent client satisfaction and support repeat business.
Scope Control & Variations
Monitor works closely to ensure all activities align strictly with the agreed scope of works.
Identify changes, omissions, or additional works early and escalate immediately.
Ensure no extras are undertaken without written client authorisation to protect SRS commercially.
Collect clear evidence (photos, notes, measurements) to support variation claims.
Commercial & Reporting
Track labour, plant, material usage and variations to maintain budget control.
Identify scope changes promptly and ensure they are recorded, costed and communicated to Operations and Commercial teams.
Proactively obtain approval for variations and extras before commencement, ensuring all instructions are received in writing.
Support valuations, site measures, commercial submissions and change requests.
Ensure accurate daily reporting, photos, QA documentation and handover records.
Maintain thorough project files in accordance with SRS procedures.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager or similar role in civil engineering or structural repair works.
Strong understanding of structural repair methodologies and technical requirements.
Ability to interpret structural drawings, scopes and specifications.
Excellent planning, leadership and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
Desirable
SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid, PASMA, CSCS (Manager or Supervisor level).
Experience in regulated sectors such as Network Rail, utilities or major infrastructure.
Knowledge of monitoring or scanning technologies.
Working Conditions
Based in Windsor with regular UK travel.
Frequent visits to construction sites, client locations and company facilities.
Occasional early mornings, night shifts or weekend work depending on project demands.
