Overview

Due to continued growth, Arcforce Engineering Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced and committed Subcontract Construction Manager to join our projects team in the Thames Valley.

Arcforce are professional, innovative, customer-centric, and our goal is to provide a unique expert service of Heating Cooling and Plumbing installations to our clients in the commercial construction sector.

This role is a key link between site operations and project management, ensuring M&E works are delivered safely, on time, to specification, and within quality standards. You'll have hands-on control of site labour, plant, logistics, and technical coordination while providing clear daily reporting to the Project Manager.

Key Duties

Coordinate site activities with Supervisors and Project Managers to meet programme, quality, and safety requirements. Lead and manage site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, labour allocation, and daily tasking. Maintain full responsibility for health & safety, including permits, toolbox talks, RAMS, and site standards. Oversee plant, tools, hire equipment, PAT testing, and logistics, ensuring accurate tracking and cost control. Provide daily progress updates, photos, records, and reporting to support project delivery and variation substantiation. Support technical coordination, drawing reviews, QA/QC checks, and resolution of site issues. Act as the day-to-day site contact for clients and stakeholders, attending meetings and representing the company professionally. Assist with commissioning, snagging, and handover processes.

Skills & Experience

NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services. SMSTS, CSCS Black Card (First Aid desirable). Minimum 5 years' experience in M&E site supervision/management. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Proven ability to deliver complex projects safely, on time, and to quality standards.
