Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of site completion.

Responsibilities

Planning and managing site work to required level of quality and specification Liase with all subcontractors and internal resource to align schedules Assessing site risks and producing comprehensive Construction Phase Plans in line with CDM, WHP Health and Safety Policy and Client requirements. Reporting of any accidents, incidents, ill health and dangerous occurrences to senior management. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and QMS Policies. Raising of sub-contractor purchase orders, monitoring and reporting contract variations Developing relationships with appropriate client representatives Audit handover documentation ready for issue to the client Selecting, appointing and managing third party contractors. To include works tendering and price negotiation. Accurate reporting of all variations and able demonstrate good cost control. Report progress to the Project team and ensure that Database is up to date. Any other duties that the company may reasonably determine from time to time

Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential:

Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety policy Ability to manage subcontractor relationships Staff management skills Strong track record in customer facing role

Desirable:

Qualified in a construction related discipline

Excellent communication skills Commercial awareness Organisational skills

Desirable:

Significant experience in telecommunications construction
Working hours: 37.5 per week
