Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Construction Manager
to oversee the construction of utility-scale and/or commercial solar farm projects. This role is responsible for managing on-site activities, contractors, schedules, budgets, and safety to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day construction activities for solar farm projects from mobilization through commissioning
Coordinate and supervise EPC contractors, subcontractors, and site teams
Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications
Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on site
Review construction drawings, method statements, and work plans
Track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
Lead site meetings and report progress to internal stakeholders
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams
Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
Manage change orders, site documentation, and reporting
Required Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Site Manager on solar farm or renewable energy projects
Strong understanding of utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction
Knowledge of civil, electrical, and mechanical scopes related to solar projects
Experience managing contractors and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
Preferred Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with grid-connected solar projects
Familiarity with commissioning and handover processes
Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, PMP, OSHA, or equivalent)
