Construction Multi Skills Lecturer (to include either Bricklaying, Carpentry or Plumbing)

FTE Salary: Up to 36,099.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience) + Industry recruitment uplift reviewed annually (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

SGS College's Construction Faculty have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Lecturer specialising in Bricklaying, Carpentry or Plumbing. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering to FT learners 16-18 on L1 and L2 programmes in these specialisms, however, the College would also like to interview candidates straight from a trade position. In addition, candidates will hold a level 2 qualification in construction trades and teaching or assessing qualifications.Be responsible for curriculum planning, development and implementation in your department Ensure effective implementation of the College Quality Management system and Quality review schedule within the area Effectively manage all aspects of quality within the department to ensure development and progress for both staff and learners Effective use of management information to raise the quality of learning, including improving attendance, retention, achievement, progression and value added. Value diversity and promote equal opportunities Work within health and safety guidelines and be aware of your responsibilities for health and safety. Adhere to college policies and procedures, including Data Protection Be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
