Job Description

Dennis Barnfield Ltd are a family run business with depots located in Carnforth and Bolton-le-Sands. Established in 1964, Dennis Barnfield Ltd specialise in the sale and service of construction and groundcare equipment. This role will be based in the Carnforth office, working with an array of heavy plant machinery.

- Pre-delivery inspections on new machinery

- Servicing machinery on site and in workshop

- Diagnosing faults on site and in workshop

- Liaising with service and parts departments to solve machine issues and order relevant parts

- LOLER testing

The successful candidate will come from a heavy plant background, having good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of heavy plant machinery.

- Extensive knowledge on a wide variety of heavy plant including but not limited to: Crawler Excavators (1-80t), Wheel Loaders, Crawler Dozers, Telehandlers, Skidsteers

- Competent understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings

- Knowledge of modern construction equipment including engine aftertreatment systems.

- Can work on own initiative

- Flexible attitude to work

- Self-motivated

- Good awareness of health and safety

- Provide own tools

- IT Literate

- Possess NVQ level 3 in plant maintenance

- Previous experience working with Case, Dieci, Ausa, or Ammann machinery

- CSCS Card

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 42,360.00-48,170.00 per year
