We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be resposible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of engineering principles to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Carry out preventative maintance on Plant.
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fit and assemble parts effectively.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate with other team members to optimise workflow and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fitting process and implement solutions promptly.
Document work completed and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.
Maintaining stock levels.
Experience
Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing sector is essential.
Familiarity with various fitting techniques and the ability to use measuring instruments accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
A relevant qualification in engineering or mechanical fitting would be advantageous but not mandatory.
