We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive
Construction Projects & Contracts Manager
to lead and manage a range of domestic and light commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of project delivery, from procurement and planning through to completion. Ensuring safety, quality, budget and client satisfaction are at the heart of everything we do.
What You'll Be Doing
Oversee day-to-day project and site management, including direct labour, subcontractors, materials, and resources
Develop and manage project programmes to ensure delivery on time and within budget
Maintain strong relationships with clients through clear and professional communication
Monitor progress and performance, ensuring Health & Safety compliance at all times
Prepare and manage site documentation, including RAMS and progress reports
Lead and motivate teams, resolving issues and promoting a positive working environment
Liaise with suppliers and manage procurement of materials and services
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a committed and qualified manager who can lead by example and deliver consistently high standards of work and service.
Essential:
Proven experience managing domestic construction projects (conversion, renovation, extensions, refurbishments)
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
Strong understanding of CDM regulations and current Health & Safety standards
Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and costs
Competent with IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or similar recognised qualification)
Some experience with commercial projects
First Aid at Work certificate
Familiarity with project management software
