Job Description

Following the continued success of Tetra Tech (Europe) in securing a variety of new and interesting projects across the government sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Security Manager to join Tetra Tech. The candidate should have a background of working within high security projects, preferably with experience of managing complex projects for MoD, Defence contractors or FCDO.


Working on a large-scale sensitive security project, you will be initially responsible for interpreting a complex SAL to facilitate the isolation strategies of a complex design to enable it to be released to the market for tender purposes. Following the tender process, you will be instrumental in mentoring the construction force security management team, developing a culture of secure delivery to protect the design and build. The core role will include managing a team of security controllers, overseeing the security aspects of construction activity and providing security assurance to the client.

Your Role

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable construction security manager who can demonstrate a flexible management skillset through innovative and diverse thinking, the role includes:

Managing contractor and construction due diligence security teams Compliance with the Security Aspects Letter (SAL) and security rules for project delivery Client liaison Engagement with National Technical Authorities Managing and reporting project security reviews Managing project security risk Development of construction security policy Supporting Senior Staff in delivering business objectives Developing colleagues in our early careers programme

About You

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Experience of working in a high security project environment Experience of delivering construction security on complex projects Experience of working with UK's leading Technical Authorities such as UK NACE, NPSA, NCSC Experience of security of construction materials from supplier to installation/ construction Experience in delivery of physical and personal security during construction The ability to work collaboratively with clients to deliver results Strong understanding of security processes and compliance with Government security requirements Strong communication skills both oral and written, including the ability to manage meetings with a variety of stakeholders of varying seniority. A collaborative approach including managing large security teams and working closely with multi-stakeholder client teams Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel, Project and Word Professional and ethical in everything that you do



In addition, the candidate must:

Hold relevant security qualifications or demonstrate significant experience and ability to achieve qualifications such as MSyl or RSES Hold a UK Driving Licence Be a sole UK National Be able to obtain and hold the highest security clearance through our vetting team
