Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Construction Site Manager

to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our Milton Keynes apartment development.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in residential construction management, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to drive performance, quality, and safety across all aspects of the build.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Management & Supervision

Lead daily site operations, ensuring construction is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. Supervise and coordinate site teams, including direct trades and subcontractors. Ensure the project remains on schedule, within budget, and compliant with design and technical standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe site environment at all times.

Construction & Quality Control

Take a proactive, hands-on approach to resolving on-site construction challenges. Monitor all trades to ensure work meets JSJ's high standards of quality and finish. Carry out regular inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary. Support the delivery of a consistent high-end residential product.

Project Coordination & Communication

Liaise effectively with the internal project team, consultants, suppliers, and local authorities. Coordinate with JSJ's Project Managers and Directors to manage schedules, logistics, and materials. Maintain accurate site records, including RAMS, progress reports, and variations. Attend regular site meetings and provide clear progress updates.

Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce PPE and safety standards. Promote a positive health and safety culture across all site activities.

Requirements

Proven experience as a

Site Manager

or

Working Foreman

on residential developments (multi-unit preferred). Strong understanding of modern building methods, NHBC standards, and quality assurance processes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Hands-on trade background (e.g., carpentry or general building) desirable. Valid

CSCS card

(SMSTS or SSSTS qualification preferred).

First Aid

certification preferred. Full UK driving licence.
