We are seeking an experienced Construction Solicitor to join our team. You will provide specialist legal advice on construction contracts and disputes, working with contractors, developers, architects, and consultants. The role involves drafting and negotiating agreements, advising on risk management, and representing clients in adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Advise clients on construction contracts, risk management, and dispute resolution.
Draft, review, and negotiate construction agreements, including JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts.
Represent clients in adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation.
Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, building safety, and statutory obligation.
Manage a caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters from instruction through to resolution.
Conduct legal research and apply UK construction law, and statutory requirements.
Liaise with contractors, developers, consultants, insurers, and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Code of Conduct and maintain accurate client records.
Required Qualifications
Qualified Solicitor with current practicing certificate
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in construction law.
Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts, dispute resolution procedures and civil procedures.
Excellent advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
Strong client management and communication skills.
