Humly North East are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable

Construction Tutor

to join one of our SEN secondary school's team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled construction professional or qualified tutor to support learners in developing hands-on trade skills, with a potential path to permanent employment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based construction training to learners (typically aged 16+ or adults) who are pursuing careers in the construction industry. You'll help equip them with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications required to succeed.

Responsibilities



Deliver one-on-one or small group construction tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of each student Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with construction curriculum and learning objectives Assess students' progress in construction skills and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes Provide support in construction-related subjects, focusing on areas where students may struggle or require additional help Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to build students' confidence and motivation in construction trades Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Requirements



Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children and young people of varying ages Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families Ability to create a positive learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically Relevant qualifications in education or a related field would be an advantage

Pay: 120.00-150.00 per day
