We are looking to grow our Construction team globally and have opportunities for more than one Underwriter to join our London based team as part of this growth strategy. We're happy to consider candidates with either EAR and CAR experience or a combination of both.

How you will create an impact
This role will focus on underwriting new and renewal business to help drive the profitable growth of our Construction line.
You will be responsible for assessing the desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers and close co-ordination with AIG subject matter experts.
Your relationships with brokers will be key to your success. You will need to provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. You will also aim to generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events and building new relationships across the market - in line with a sales plan established with your manager.
Another key aspect of the role is the provision of accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, pipeline tracking and total premium. Also in supporting ad-hoc data production and analysis for treaty renewal and other purposes.
What you'll need to succeed
Construction underwriting experience is preferred;
The ability to analyse financial data.
Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
