Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction activities including carpentry, masonry, and plumbing. Load and unload materials and equipment from lorries. Prepare job sites by cleaning and clearing debris to maintain a safe working environment. Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision. Follow instructions from site supervisors and contribute to team efforts to meet project deadlines. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn correctly. Assist in the assembly of scaffolding and other temporary structures as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed. A valid driver's licence is preferred but not mandatory.
