We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Construction Manager to oversee building projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse construction initiatives, manage multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the successful realisation of complex infrastructure developments.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all phases of construction projects, from initial design through to final handover.
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across all sites.
Monitor progress regularly, identify potential delays or issues early, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure clarity and feasibility.
Liaise with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns promptly.
Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to project plans.
Manage procurement processes for materials and equipment required for each project phase.
Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress for senior management.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, legal regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental policies.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Effective leadership qualities with experience managing diverse teams of contractors and subcontractors.
Proficiency in project management software programmes such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent recognised industry certifications are preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
