Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychopharmacology and be skilled in providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients. This role emphasizes the importance of holistic care, including the integration of art therapy and sensitivity to gender issues in counseling. The Consultant Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Duties



Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring their effects. Provide counseling and psychotherapy, utilizing techniques such as art therapy when appropriate. Address gender issues in counseling to provide inclusive and effective treatment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support for patients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatry.

Qualifications



Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Psychiatry. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry is preferred. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and its application in treatment. Experience or training in art therapy is highly desirable. Familiarity with gender issues counseling and a commitment to providing inclusive care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients. Strong analytical skills for assessing complex patient needs and developing effective treatment plans. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent decision-making capabilities. Pay: 100.00-110.00 per hour
