Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet is a purely elective care hospital, focusing on orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, ENT, urology and Gynaecology. What you'll be doing
Within this collaborative team you will provide a full range of speciality diagnosis, treatment and care to inpatients, day cases and outpatients who require anaesthetic services and ensure responsive anaesthetic care.
As a key member of the centres team you will be working closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospitals Medical Director, Alison, and local Leadership Team. Furthermore, you will be a key contributor to the development of Clinical Quality Standards and participate in our audit and clinical governance programme.

What well look for in you
With a current registration with the GMCs specialist register of anaesthetists youll have several years experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK. You are committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development. We will also support you to ensure ongoing medical competence through participation in the annual revalidation and reaccreditation schemes of the GMC and the Royal College of Anaesthetists. As well as providing mandatory training through our excellent in house education programme. We could even give you the opportunity to develop into a specialist role of your interest.
Salary is competitive, but substantive employment only to be considered.
Please ensure that your CV used in applying includes details of what interested you in the role as well as describing relevant experience within the past 3 years i.e number of cases performed and outcomes from national database (when relevant).
In time consultants joining Practice Plus Group will be guided through the process to achieve accreditation with BUPA, applicants already with this accreditation are considered favourably and encouraged to highlight this in their application.
