Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to anchor our face-to-face CYP ADHD & Autism assessment hubs (Worcester/Redditch). Mon-Fri 9-5, no on-call. MDT leadership, diagnostic sign-off, family feedback and supervision. Competitive package; 0.4-1.0 WTE. UK experience essential.

About the service

We are creating dedicated Children and Young People ADHD and Autism assessment hubs that put families at the centre of care. These hubs bring together strong, multidisciplinary teams who share a single commitment: to deliver assessments with clarity, compassion, and consistency. With clear standards guiding every step, our clinics run Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, offering structured, reliable support without the pressure of on-call work. This is about building a service that children, young people, and their families can truly rely on -- and a workplace where professionals can focus on making a lasting difference every day.

What you'll do

Lead and participate in

CYP ADHD

and

CYP ASD

assessments (structured history, validated tools such as Conners/ADOS/ADI-R, second-setting liaison, formulation). Provide

diagnostic MDT sign-off

(ASD: two-clinician model including a senior; ADHD: MDT includes a specialist psychiatrist or paediatrician). Deliver clear

feedback to families

, write GP/school summaries and advise on reasonable adjustments.

Supervise

nurses/psychologists/assistants; contribute to audit, governance and service improvement.
What you'll bring

GMC registration on the Specialist Register (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry).

For

CYP ADHD

: formal regulator-recognised training

and

? 3 consecutive years' supervised experience

in assessing/diagnosing ADHD in children & young people.

ASD assessment competence

within a two-clinician model (e.g., ADOS-2/ADI-R/3Di).

UK service experience

(NHS CAMHS/Community services or UK independent sector) in the last 12 months. Safeguarding Level 3, Enhanced DBS, and

right to work in the UK

Experience:

delivering CYP ADHD and/or ASD assessments in a UK service: 1 year (required)
