Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Lambeth Camhs Adhd Clinic

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen due to staffing changes within the consultant group in Lambeth CAMHS for a motivated and enthusiastic CAMHS consultant psychiatrist to join our team, for 6 months, to contribute to the work of our ADHD Medication Review Clinic and integrated ADHD pathway. This would be the ideal opportunity to work alongside the dedicated and passionate team of medics here in Lambeth CAMHS, in anticipation of substantive recruitment.

Further substantive recruitment is planned, so this would also represent a chance to get to know the borough and team.

The post holder will be based within the LARC (Lambeth CAMHS ADHD Medication Review Clinic) for 8-10PAs per week, on the basis of mutual agreement.

In addition to this post, there are five consultant child and adolescent psychiatrists in Lambeth CAMHS (a total of 4.5 WTE), providing local opportunities for significant peer support and consultation. We have specialist interests in neurodevelopmental disorders, ADHD, forensic CAMHS and crisis care.

This post includes 7.5PAs of direct clinical activity with the LARC ADHD Medication Clinic and integrated ADHD Pathway within Lambeth CAMHS.

The post benefits from 2.5PAs of structured professional activities, during which the post holder will contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement, in addition to completing continuous professional development and pursuing other professional activities.

The post holder will work closely with all of the consultant psychiatrist colleagues, as each consultant contributes time to the Lambeth CAMHS ADHD Medication Clinic (LARC).
