The successful candidate will join a friendly, dynamic consultant team who strive to be regional leaders in the delivery of high quality, compassionate, patient-centred, multi-disciplinary care in EDM, including teaching, training, and research. The successful candidate would be contributing to both EDM in-patients' and outpatients' activities.EDM department at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital is dedicated to delivering comprehensive diabetes and endocrinology services locally and regionally, including pancreas and islet transplant, neuropathy, MODY, tier 3 weight management and sub-specialist endocrine services with close links and access to specialist services at QEH. Sub-speciality interests are encouraged but not required for these posts.A full range of associated healthcare professionals are on site in a purpose-built Diabetes Centre, including dietitian, podiatrists, diabetes specialist nurses, and endocrine specialist nurses, supporting MDT working pattern.
