Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with gastrointestinal issues, including endoscopic procedures where necessary.

Lead and supervise clinical teams, providing guidance and support in delivering high-quality gastroenterological care.
Oversee the management of patients in care homes and senior care settings, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to best practices.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care strategies.
Maintain accurate medical records using IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Supervise the training and mentoring of junior staff or interns in gastroenterology practices.
Stay updated with the latest developments in gastroenterology through continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications
Medical degree recognised by relevant medical councils or authorities.
Specialist qualification in Gastroenterology with valid registration and licensing.
Proven experience in supervising clinical teams within a healthcare environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse patient groups including elderly individuals in care settings.
Experience in using IT systems for medical record keeping and reporting purposes.
Valid driving licence is desirable for visiting different care facilities as required.
