We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires expertise in various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The Consultant Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with diverse mental health needs, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling services, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
Manage medication regimens and conduct psychopharmacological interventions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Provide crisis management and intervention for patients in acute distress.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and progress notes, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in telehealth services to expand access to care for patients.
Engage in data collection for quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
Offer support and guidance to families of patients, particularly those dealing with developmental disabilities or PTSD.
Experience
Board certification in Psychiatry is required; post-residency experience preferred.
Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable, particularly in pediatric psychiatry settings.
Familiarity with addiction counseling and mental health counseling practices is beneficial.
Previous hospital experience is an asset, especially in inpatient psychiatric units.
Demonstrated ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and manage complex cases involving geriatric populations or individuals with developmental disabilities.
Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with medical records management is essential.
