Swansea University Health Board is seeking to appoint to a replacement 10 session Consultant Haematologist post in Myeloma who has a commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary working to achieve high quality patient care through implementing innovative service models to support delivery of performance targets whilst also safeguarding excellence in education/training and an appreciation of the need for and value of, high quality research.
Deliver comprehensive systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) for patients with myeloma and related haematological malignancies. Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, including the Skin MDT and Lymphoma MDT, to coordinate patient care. Provide expert input into diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for complex cases, including relapsed/refractory myeloma, plasma cytomas, and MGUS. Expand and manage a clinical trials portfolio in myeloma and related cancers, building on the department's strong research culture
Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas, with a budget of around 1 billion and employing 12,500 people. We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science. The Health Board is part of A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), which is a partnership with Hywel Dda UHB and Swansea University. Aimed at improving the wellbeing and wealth of Southwest Wales.
