An exciting opportunity to join The Plastic, Hand & Reconstructive Surgery team at The Northern Care Alliance (NCA).
The hand service functions as a fully integrated orthoplastic team, providing care for patients with complex hand and wrist conditions, both elective and trauma related. We cover the breadth of adult hand surgery including arthritis, nerve, and spasticity.
The hub of our service is based at Salford Royal Hospital, site of The Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital and The Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences. Elective activity is also undertaken at Rochdale Infirmary and the hand service is collaborative across the NCA.
The successful candidate will, above all, be able to be a productive and cohesive member of the hand and wrist surgery team
The successful candidate will be expected to organise their own workload
Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.
Contributing to undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing medical and multi professional education activity including teaching.
Participation in clinical audit and research.
Conducting appropriate duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
Multidisciplinary teamwork is envisaged as a key component of the working of this Trust and will involve Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussion with other colleagues.
Development of special interests that fit in with the Directorate needs and the strategic direction of the Trust.
