Consultant In Older People's Medicine
Job Description
This post will be based between Freeman Hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The post holder will be responsible for inpatient, day unit, out-patient and community-based care of older people including acute and rehabilitation patients, with sub-speciality responsibilities according to experience, interest and Trust requirements. The post holder will also contribute to the Older Peoples Medicine on-call rota and General Internal Medicine admissions on-call rota. Clinical: Promote leadership, quality improvement and innovative service delivery by contributing to the organisation and running of the Older Peoples Medicine services, working in collaboration with colleagues Assist the Medicine Directorate, Manager and Clinical Director in the timely investigation of complaints and translating these into opportunities for service improvement Participate in all aspects of Clinical Governance, making a significant contribution to multidisciplinary audit and risk management activities
