Douglas Macmillan Hospice Dougie Mac is an open-culture organisation, underpinned by clear strategic aims, vision and values. Dougie Mac is an all-age palliative care hospice from birth to old age with an interest in a wider service delivery for dementia patients.



You will be based at the adult site with opportunity to explore an interest in Young Adult palliative care if desired. We have a 28 bedded adult inpatient unit covering a population of around 500,000, well established community Palliative Care Nurse Specialist team, with Admiral Nurses core to the team and a vibrant wellbeing centre. Education is a priority and training of future doctors is core to our ethos. We are research active with NIHR and have a research collaboration and joint strategy with Staffordshire University, working on collaborative projects to improve/inform our user experience across all services.
