The Home Treatment Team provides short-term mental health support at home, to avoid people being admitted to hospital and reduce length of stay for people in hospital. The team works across Sheffield and provides intensive support to our service users and their carers where there has been a significant deterioration in a person's mental health.
The Home Treatment Team is based at The Longley Centre, together with the Liaison Psychiatry service, and the urgent and crisis service, and some of our inpatient wards. The team undertakes crisis assessments, supports and treats people in the community as an alternative to admission to hospital and promotes timely discharge back into the community.

This service carries an annual fee, which employees are responsible for paying up front. However, employees may claim this cost back through the Trust's Employee Expenses Reimbursement Policy. For those requiring a Basic DBS check, it is necessary to register for a DBS Online Account.
