The Neurosciences Institute at CCL incorporates a large team of leading neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuro-rehabilitation specialists providing a comprehensive clinical outpatient and inpatient service, including a state-of-the-art inpatient neuro-rehabilitation unit.

What are we looking for?

We are recruiting a Consultant Neuropsychologist within Rehabilitation. Consultant Neuropsychologists will be autonomous practitioners responsible for delivering excellent patient experience. As part of the Neuropsychology team, you will focus on delivering a high quality, robust and responsive neuropsychological rehabilitation service to adult neurological patients on the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, working alongside consultants and all members of the multidisciplinary team.

Working as an autonomous practitioner, the Consultant Neuropsychologist (Neurorehabilitation) will provide advanced psychological and neuropsychological assessments, formulation and direct and indirect interventions for patients admitted for rehabilitation, ensuring that the service is informed by best evidence and expert knowledge. The role will also involve managing and delivering the inpatient neuropsychological rehabilitation service on the Rehabilitation Unit, including providing clinical supervision, complex case management and line management for a team of qualified clinical neuropsychologists / psychologists and assistants providing rehabilitation on the unit.

What we need from you?

Post qualification training in Clinical Neuropsychology (BPS Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) or equivalent (e.g. on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists)*

Training in Clinical Psychology to doctoral standard

Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council

Postgraduate experience working within neuropsychology

Experience of specialist neuropsychological assessment and treatment of patients, including in inpatient settings

  • In the case that no applicants are appointable who have the BPS Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) or equivalent, capable applicants would be considered alongside a development plan to achieve the QiCN.
