Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychiatry and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy and medication management.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices. Provide psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management. Administer psychopharmacological treatments while monitoring patient responses and adjusting medications as necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in telehealth services as needed to expand access to care. Participate in data collection for quality improvement initiatives within the clinic. Offer addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders. Provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities and PTSD. Supervise and mentor residents or junior staff as required.

Qualifications



Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry. Post-residency experience preferred; experience working in hospital settings is a plus. Strong background in pediatric psychiatry and experience working with children is highly desirable. Proficiency in mental health counseling, patient assessment, intake processes, and medical terminology. Familiarity with behavioral health practices, including outpatient clinic experience. Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and psychopharmacology principles. Experience with geriatric populations is an advantage. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Pay: 100.00-120.00 per hour
