Would you like to be the named Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) lead across Somerset, leading the Trust's AMS team and working closely with local microbiologists, infection prevention & control teams and the Somerset ICB, to co-ordinate and deliver a high quality AMS programme across all NHS health sectors in Somerset?
Are you an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced clinical pharmacist with demonstrable skills in AMS and Infection Management?
If the answers to the questions above are yes then then this could be the job for you!
This is a key role leading the system wide delivery of AMS in Somerset, working with acute, community, primary care stakeholders, the Southwest Regional Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), to locally deliver the NHSE Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) strategy.
We are encouraging applications from both existing consultant accredited pharmacists & aspiring pharmacists looking to be accredited in the next 12-24 months. This post is an established RPS approved Consultant Pharmacist post.
Pharmacists yet to complete their credentialing should be able to evidence their own practice, mostly at mastery level (RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework) and would join as a Lead Pharmacist (band 8b) , moving up to a band 8c and be awarded the Consultant Pharmacist title once credentialed.
We can offer a generous relocation package for this role if you are looking to relocate to Somerset.
