Following a retirement in the team, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant Clinical, Counselling or Clinical Health Psychologist to join the Oxfordshire Talking Therapies Service. We are looking for someone to work closely with the clinical lead on the continued development of the Long Term Physical Health pathways as well as to support the core service.
We are one of the national Talking Therapies services delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other psychological interventions, through a stepped care treatment model to people in the community with common mental health problems.
You will provide clinical supervision to psychological therapies professionals and supporting the team to implement psychologically informed working practices & play a key role in clinical leadership development, training, and service evaluation, enhancing our links with Oxfordshire GP's, community and hospital services.
Please note - interviews for this role are provisionally booked for 20th May 2025 and will be in person.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
To provide clinical leadership for Oxfordshire Talking Therapies service as designated by the Psychological Therapies Clinical & Professional Lead for Adult and Older Adult.
Ensure the systematic provision of high-quality evidence-based specialist psychological therapies to adults 18+ across Oxfordshire with Long term health conditions.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the services provided for adults with specialist mental health needs.
To provide expert consultation, teaching and supervision to other professionals as agreed with the Professional & Clinical Lead for Adult and Older Adult Psychological Therapies & Head of Oxfordshire Talking Therapies.
You will work autonomously, managing your own caseload and exercising responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within a multidisciplinary team. You will be familiar with utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development, including quality improvement and research.
